Wow, what a year it has been so far. I have been blessed to be living so many of my passions, the number one being engaging in rewarding relationships. My connection with my husband continues to grow stronger daily and we enjoy supporting each other through our individual interests and passions. We are also defining how working together can be a joy for us. He has been instrumental in many aspects of helping me to grow my business. It’s hard to believe that it is already June. Here’s what I’ve been up to this year. In January I accompanied two of my aunts who were driving to Florida. It was wonderful to have the time with them. While there I created some great programs to share with all of you. February I was back in Florida to drive home with Aunt Linda and Aunt Deb. Again, I was able to work and spend time with them. The break from the cold New England winter was an added bonus. Florida was actually warmer than usual for that time of year. March found me in North Carolina with Pamela Bruner, my business and success coach and 12 other amazing transformational leaders. We were all working on our special messages to our particular audience. Sales and marketing has not been one of my strengths so this year I am immersed in learning to love it! April I was in Canada where I spent some valuable time with my spiritual mentors and during a four day training / retreat and a private day of coaching. I also made some wonderful friends with whom I am still communicating. My wonderful VA, Staci Jansma was with me daily through Skype and email keeping things moving in our creative department. In May, Burt (my husband) and I spent a few days with family in Philly to celebrate a 90th, 60th, and 30th birthdays. We loved being in the midst of this new extended family for me. We then got a way for a few days to Turks & Caicos to regroup, relax, and swim in the warm Caribbean water. During all of this I was taking teleclasses, and immersed in two mastermind groups, and also working locally with Maureen Campaiola, a marketing and executive coach. I am also part of a team of business owners in the greater Merrimac Valley who love to give back by collectively offering makeovers from the inside out to women who give so much of themselves to others but neglect their own care. We completed our second makeover and had the reveal party last week. That was awesome. See more of this below. I understand the value of growing, stretching, clarity, focus and support. Support is key. It is great to learn something new, and I have found that unless you are taking consistent action with the right support it can be challenging to reach the results you desire. I had that support when I was looking for my partner. I did not want ANY man – I was looking for the one who was absolutely right for me. I took the time to enjoy being single, create and live a joyful life, while inviting and trusting that my ideal partner was there and waiting for me to be ready. I made the commitment to honor me – to heal, grow, and trust – AND I am so grateful for the coaches, colleagues, friends, and positive support that I had on my quest for love. Now I need support in serving you, my Valentines of wonderful men and women who want to connect to the love of their lives, just like I did, and who want to enjoy fulfilling relationships that rock your world. This is why I continue with learning and supportive environments, so that I can be my best for you. Now it is June and I am realizing another passion of collaborating with like-minded and like hearted transformational leaders. For the next week, I will interview 10 experts in the field of Relating, Dating, & Mating TM who are as passionate as I am about sharing the love. Life just keeps getting better and better! Recently as Janice Christopher and I were hosting a free call, Love Bites … Nuggets of Wisdom in the World of Relating, Dating & MatingTM, we received a question from a caller. It is worth sharing with you since I think many can relate to her situation in some way or another. The message that I share at the end will apply to all in some aspect of your life. Maura is a single mother who works full time and is fully engaged with her children and their activities. She does not have a support system. Her family does not live nearby, and the father of her children does not participate nor offer support of any kind. Her relationships with men have not been stellar and she knows that she does not want to repeat those experiences. She would love to have a partner in her life, and yet cannot see how it is possible when all of her time is spent working, with her children or managing their life. What are her possibilities? Maura is looking through the mind of experience. Her mind only knows what it knows. What do I mean by this? Your mind only knows its history, not what exists beyond. We often make decisions and believe what we know to be true from prior events and feelings. This is our subconscious mind and runs 90 percent of the show. So we encouraged Maura to looked beyond what she knows and open her mind and heart to possibilities that she has not even imagined. Consciously choose to create the experiences and reality that you want. Your future is created from your present. Your present is a result of your past. So, open up to possibility now to invite what you wish into your life. Is it possible that she can meet a man who matches her devotion to caring for her children, and that she can meet him while she is living her life – at her children’s ball games, soccer practices, etc? Is she open to the idea that she may meet him in the grocery store or at Target while shopping with her children? Has she considered that he may be listening to the call and is a man who would love to be involved with helping to raise a family? Many men either never had children or missed out being more involved with their own children when they were growing up. Many would love to be generous with their heart and time with a woman who will appreciate him and allow him into her family. We just never know how we will meet our partner, yet we can know what that might look like for us. Rather than being in an energy, “How or where will I ever meet anyone,” which is basically telling the universe and your potential partner that I don’t believe it is possible, and slamming that door shut, try instead spending the time on becoming clear about the qualities of the person you would like to invite into your heart. Describe what generous look like for you in your life. Write down and feel the energy of someone who treats you a way you want to be treated, spends time with you doing the things you both enjoy. Imagine how he will interact with your children if you have them – young and old. Blending families of all ages is a huge part of relationships. Know what that means to you and how you want to experience it. When you find yourself doubting and wondering, take a breath, and remind yourself about the relationship you are creating and inviting, then state very clearly, “ I know that the perfect person for me is out there and I will meet them when I am ready.” So many people are out there chasing and searching for some one or shutting the door because they believe it is not even possible. I invite you to step into the realm of possibility. Know what you want, believe you can have it, take the time to clear your doubts, and be present in your life, and let the magic happen. That’s what I did and I am thankful every day for believing in love and in finding the right partner for me! Your challenge: If you believed in magic and could wave a magic wand, what would you like to believe is possible? It ‘s a place to start. Or for those of you who cannot even go there, ask yourself this instead: Wouldn’t it be great if ________________were possible?
