Are You Passionate and Profitable?

Last month I attended an event in Boston, MA at the recommendation of colleague and a friend whom I highly respect.  Whenever she suggests something, I am always happy that I followed through.  Promote Your Passions event was one of those suggestions.  The speakers were amazing sharing their expertise, humor, wisdom so honestly.  I walked away with some very real shifts and action steps to take so that I could connect more to my passion and reason for building a business based on love and helping others connect to love.  Even more powerful is that I connected with some amazing people!  One person in particular was Caren Glasser, CPO (Chief Passion Officer)

For the past 30 years Caren has dedicated her personal and professional life to communicating and connecting with people. Her past experiences have allowed her to meet many different people and make a difference in their lives.  In the early 90’s she was a children’s rock and roll singer, signed with Rhino Records.  She traveled the country singing songs of self-esteem.  That experience culminated with a concert at Carnegie hall.  During that same time she owned a creative arts company that provided programming for the public and private schools sector in Los Angeles.  Her 50 plus teachers brought art programs back, which had been cut out of the schools because of budget cuts. Caren has learned a lot about what it takes for people to create positive experiences in their lives while following their passions.  Today, as the founder of Promote Your Passion she focuses on helping people connect and create better lives for themselves.

One of my passions is speaking to inspire and teach others how to connect and live their own passionate lives and more importantly to engage in passionate partnerships in their  personal and professional lives.  I knew I wanted to be part of this movement with Caren.  Set the intention.  Put attention on it.  Let go of attention.  I learned this from Chris and Janet Atwood and I teach it through my work as a Passion Test Facilitator.  So, I am thrilled to be part of the panel at the Promote Your Passion event in New York on June 5th, 2012.

EBKIII.com

I’ve had so much fun watching EBKIII come to fruition.

Burt finally felt compelled to start his music blog. He shares his many collaborations with musicians, friends and family. Burt is a great song writer and musician himself. He is re-discovering his music voice by spending hours in his “man-cave” which he generously shares.

Kennedy Lane Project

I love the music of Kennedy Lane Project.

I admit it. I am a huge fan of these guys for MANY reasons – number one – I admire and enjoy their music. I love their collaborative energy and how they are putting attention on their passion of music. Even though they have full time jobs, families, and commitments, they find time to feed their soul by writing lyrics, music and recording together. They’ve even had some great live performances. I am blessed that they are also part of my personal life (as well as their families) Of course, one of them is my love, my husband, Burt.

Project Makeover

Our goal is to beautify & empower women one makeover at a time!

We loved working with Kathy of How To Shop For Free.  She helps so many people save money, and she learned how important taking care of herself is so that she can continue.

For our next makeover, we partnered with Homes for Our Troops.  We were so glad to help Amy whose husband is a National Guard soldier serving in Afghanistan.  Amy and the whole Project Makeover Team raised money to help toward building a home for Sgt. Joshua Bouchard of Granby, MA, who lost his left leg, broke his back, and suffered traumatic brain injury after his vehicle drove over a pressure plated IED in Helmand Province, Afghanistan on July 8th, 2009.

Recently, we have reached out to Holy Family Hospital to partner with them for our next Project Makeover recipient – a survivor of breast cancer.
